Terms of Service
Last updated 24 October 2026
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Angelfish ("we", "us"). They apply when you create an account or use Angelfish, its website, its apps and its services (together, "the service"). If you use Angelfish for a business, you confirm you can accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that business. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over and give an email address you control.
- An account is for one person. Keep access to your email and account secure; you're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us straight away at hello@angelfish.chat if you think someone else has used your account.
3. What Angelfish does, and what it doesn't
Angelfish uses AI to write and change iPhone apps from your descriptions, lets you try them in a browser preview and on your iPhone, runs the servers and data your apps use, and helps you publish to the App Store. AI makes mistakes. Generated code, text, images, listings, privacy answers and advice may be wrong, incomplete, insecure or similar to other people's. You decide what to build and publish, and you must review and test your app before you publish or rely on it.
4. Plans and payment
- Each plan includes a weekly amount of building. Weeks run seven days at a time from when you subscribed (or signed up, on Free). Free includes a one-time building trial and then a smaller weekly amount. Unused building doesn't carry over, has no cash value and can't be transferred. Building that fails because of us never counts; undoing a change doesn't give back the building it used. There is no pay-as-you-go building: when a week's building is used up, wait for the reset or upgrade.
- You can build and test any number of apps. Each paid plan includes one live app; each further live app is charged at your plan's monthly price for an extra live app, for the days it's live, on your next invoice. Every live app on a plan comes with the same people and storage, shared across your live apps. People beyond what your live apps include are $0.003 each a month (fair use: every 500 requests to an app's server count as a person), and storage beyond what they include is $1 per GB a month for a database and $0.05 per GB a month for files, averaged over the month. Both are added to your next invoice and we tell you when an app goes over; your live apps are never stopped for it.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. An upgrade starts straight away and you pay the difference for the rest of the period; a downgrade or cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for.
- AI used by your apps comes with paid plans; Free doesn't include it, and an app's AI features don't work while you're on Free, including after a downgrade. It's billed by use at the model's price plus 15% and added to your next invoice, and never goes beyond the monthly limits you set for each app.
- Prices are in US dollars before tax. Where sales tax or VAT applies, it's added at checkout and shown before you pay, and it's on your invoice. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change; it applies from your next period, and you can cancel before then.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. If a payment fails we may pause paid features until it's paid.
- Except where the law says otherwise, payments aren't refundable and we don't refund part periods or used building. If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you can cancel a new subscription within 14 days. By using paid building or features in that time, you ask us to start straight away and agree to pay for what you've used.
5. Your apps and your content
- Your apps, their code, their content, their data and their customers are yours. You can export your code and data at any time.
- You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content and apps only as needed to provide, secure and support the service, including sending it to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
- You're responsible for your apps and everything you put into Angelfish: that you have the rights to it; that your apps and listings are lawful, accurate and follow Apple's rules; that your apps' privacy policies and data handling are correct; and for supporting your apps' users, handling their requests and complaints, and paying any taxes on your income.
- We generate privacy policies, terms, listings and review answers from what you tell us, as a starting point. They aren't legal advice; check them before you publish.
6. Your apps' users and their data
For personal data about your apps' users, you are the controller and we process it on your behalf. We will: process it only to run and support your apps, following your instructions in the service; keep it confidential and secure; use only the providers listed in our Privacy Policy (and tell you about changes); help you answer your users' requests and meet your legal duties where we reasonably can; tell you without undue delay about a breach affecting it; and delete it when you delete the app or close your account, unless the law requires us to keep it. Transfers outside the UK and EU use approved safeguards. You must have a lawful basis for the data your apps collect and tell your users about it.
7. Our service and the code we give you
We own Angelfish, its software, templates and design. We give you a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, change and distribute the template code and the code generated for you, as part of your apps, including after you leave. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
8. Other companies' services
Angelfish relies on other companies, including Apple, Anthropic, GitHub, Cloudflare, OpenRouter, Resend and Stripe. Publishing needs your own Apple Developer Program membership, under Apple's terms. Apple alone decides whether to approve, keep or remove an app, and we can't guarantee approval. We aren't responsible for other companies' decisions, changes or outages, or for services you connect with your own keys.
9. Money your apps make
We give you tools to charge for your apps; we don't promise they will earn anything. Apple pays your app's revenue to you; we never handle it.
Results vary. Most apps earn little without consistent work, and we never promise income.
10. Fair use
Don't use Angelfish to:
- build or run anything illegal, deceptive, fraudulent, hateful, harassing or sexually exploitative, or that harms children;
- collect personal data without a lawful basis, or spy on people;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights, or impersonate anyone;
- make malware, spam, scams, or tools to break into systems;
- offer gambling, financial, medical or other regulated services without the licences they need;
- break Apple's guidelines or another provider's rules;
- get around building limits, other limits or security, reach other people's projects, overload the service, or copy it with automated access;
- build a competing product using our templates or agent instructions.
11. Suspending or ending the service
- You can close your account at any time. We keep your apps' servers and data running for 30 days afterwards so you can export or move them, then delete them.
- We may suspend or close a project or account that breaks these terms or the law, puts others or the service at risk, or isn't paid. Where it's reasonable we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it or export your data.
- We may change or stop features. If we stop the whole service we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any period you've paid for but can't use.
12. No promises beyond these terms
We work to keep Angelfish running and secure and to provide it with reasonable care and skill, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no other promises: not that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that generated code will be correct, secure or fit for a particular purpose, that your app will be approved, or that it will earn money.
13. Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, or your legal rights as a consumer.
- As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or opportunity; for loss or corruption of data you could have exported or backed up; for your apps being rejected, removed or failing; for other companies' services; for anything caused by your content, your apps or your instructions; or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Otherwise, our total liability to you for everything arising from the service in any 12 months is limited to the greater of what you paid us in those 12 months and £100.
- If you're a consumer, we're responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
14. Claims about your apps
If you use Angelfish for a business, you'll cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims by others (including your apps' users, Apple and regulators) that arise from your apps, your content, or your breaking these terms or the law. We'll tell you about such a claim promptly and let you handle it where we reasonably can.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll tell you by email or in the service at least 30 days before an important change takes effect, unless it's needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you don't agree, you can close your account before it takes effect.
16. General
- These terms are the whole agreement between us about the service. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term straight away doesn't mean we give it up.
- We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over the service; we'll tell you, and your rights won't be reduced. You need our agreement to transfer it.
- No one else has rights under these terms.
- We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts can hear any dispute. If you're a consumer, you can also bring a claim where you live and keep the protections of your local law.
